WHY DO A MATERNITY PHOTOSHOOT?

Thanks so much for considering me to do your pictures and a big congrats on your Pregnancy. What an exciting time!

I aim to capture the excitement and anticipation of your pregnancy. There is nothing more amazing than feeling the miracle of a little life growing inside you. I understand that you want to capture that amazing feeling; the beautiful promise of new life. For that reason I specialise in maternity portraits. A maternity photoshoot is the perfect way for you to show your excitement and love to your new bundle of joy.

While maternity photography can seem intimidating to some women, I have been where you are so I am dedicated to make you look and feel beautiful. To capture you as a glowing mommy-to-be. Celebrate your pregnancy and capture this special time in your life. My studio is perfect for maternity sessions. However I also love to do natural light shoots for Maternity sessions if you want to get outdoors into some gorgeous locations. I don’t charge extra for location shoots as long as it is in my local area. I have a closet of gowns and dresses or fabric for the flowy shots that are provided for the Maternity shoot.

THE LOGISTICS OF A MATERNITY PHOTOSHOOT

The best time to do the Maternity session is at around 32-36 weeks depending on how comfortable you are.

I provide gowns and or fabric for the flowy shots. Please chat to me so we can arrange a gown or fabric of your favourite colour.

All non delicate items (backdrops, some maternity gowns) used for your session will be tumble dried for additional cleanliness and all delicate headbands, Maternity gowns, floral crowns etc. will be steam cleaned before your session.

A R1 000 deposit is required to secure your booking. If you are doing a Maternity and Newborn BUNDLE DEAL you can split the remaining cost over two payments which should be paid before each session.

If you are doing a planned C section once we get your date we can schedule your newborn session for 7 days after the birth. If you are planning a natural birth we will pencil in your due date on the calendar and then as soon as you go into labour or have had your baby you can contact me to secure a date for your session normally about 7 days after babies birthdate.

BEACH PHOTOSHOOTS
Beach shoots are a fabulous idea BUT please also be aware that the best time of day to do a beach shoot is in the very early morning as the sun rises. For this reason I usually only do Beach shoots from about mid April to mid August. Sunrise is the best time for a beach shoot as the light is soft and there are only few people on the beach. Sometimes the best colour in the sky, depending on cloud cover is 10 to 15 minutes before the sun rises. So it is a good idea to meet on the beach a little earlier than actual sunrise. I only travel to the beach for Premium and Deluxe packages. If you want to do a Petite Package at the beach I charge an extra R600 for travel.

PACKAGES

DELUXE MATERNITY PACKAGE R6 100

The Deluxe Maternity photoshoot includes a one to one and half hour photo session. This session includes your partner or husband and siblings if desired. We will shoot one outfit of your clothing as well as two or more of my maternity gowns or flowy fabrics. The package will include a location near the studio in Gillitts, Winston Park as well as some Studio time. This shoot includes 30 images as digital downloads.

TIME: 1-1,5 hours session

OUTFITS: 1-3 changes

NUMBER OF HIGH RES DIGITALS: 30

LOCATION: Studio and Outdoor near to the Studio.

WHEN: Monday to Saturday (Saturday when available)

PREMIUM MATERNITY PACKAGE R4 500

The Premium Maternity photoshoot Includes a 45 minute to one hour photo session. We can include parents and siblings. The Premium Maternity Photoshoot includes one outfit of clothing that you bring along and the use of one of my Maternity gowns / flowy fabrics. This package includes 20 images as digital downloads. The Premium Maternity package is available Monday to Friday (Saturday where available)

TIME: 45 minutes

OUTFITS: 1 -2

NUMBER OF HIGH RES DIGITALS: 20

WHEN: Monday to Friday (Saturday when available)

PETITE MATERNITY PACKAGE R2 850

The Petite Maternity photoshoot includes a 20 to 30 minute photo session. We will shoot one outfit of clothing. You may use one of my maternity gowns or flowy fabrics for this package. The Petite Maternity Package includes 10 images as digital downloads. The petite package is available Monday to Friday in my studio or at a location in my area (add R600 for beach shoots).

EXTRAS

ADD: There are many different items you can purchase after your session things like Canvas’s , albums, prints, calendars, Wooden blocks, Folio boxes etc. These can be ordered online from your gallery.

ADD: R200 per digital image. If there are additional images on your gallery it is possible to upgrade to the next package when you receive your gallery

ADD: Folio Print boxes offer 18 photo prints mounted onto beautiful Matt board frames. Folio prints are then packaged in either a timeless black Wibalin box or one of our gorgeous wooden boxes. A beautiful way to show off your images, packaged beautifully and ready to be handed out.

COVID PRECAUTIONS FOR YOUR STUDIO SHOOT

Covid-19 has resulted in a few changes for Photoshoots. I am taking extra precautions in the studio. Shoots are preferably with immediate family and no extra people at the session. If anyone in the family is feeling unwell OR was exposed to someone with Covid-19, the shoot would need to be rescheduled. The same would go for me of course. If you become ill after the session it is important that you notify me so that I can self isolate. I am going to space out sessions so that the studio can be properly cleaned between clients and as is the norm in my studio hand cleaning will be paramount.

All non delicate items (backdrops, some maternity gowns, towels etc) used for your session will be tumble dried for additional cleanliness and all delicate (Newborn / Sitter bonnets, beanies and headbands, maternity gowns, floral crowns etc) items will be steam cleaned before your session.

Please do your part get vaccinated, wash hands, social distance and stay safe.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR MATERNITY SESSION

Here are a couple of suggestions for your shoot but please bear in mind it is really just a guideline and a few ideas. Please don’t worry if you don’t have any of the things that I suggest you bring. I have maternity gowns and loads of fabric and chiffon that we can wrap you and your bump in. The most important thing is that you are comfortable.

THINGS TO BRING

A well fitting bra and underwear that you are comfortable in. Preferably in nude but black or white is fine.

Bring along an outfit of clothing that you have coordinated with your hubby/partner so we can do a few shots of you together.

A fresh face of makeup and lipstick for ladies always produces most flattering results. Please also remember keep in mind your nail polish colour, lip stick and clothing choices. Be sure to aim for a good colour balance.
